Boston trio Static of the Gods will be playing in Philadelphia at WKEnders Pub on Friday, September 26th. The band will preview material their currently recording for a follow-up to 2007′s Cycles Follow Signs, which reached #103 on the CMJ charts. WKEnders is located at 1525 Frankford Ave. The show is 21+ and doors are at 10PM with an $8 cover.
“Peluche,” the first single from the album, produced by Matthew Ellard (Radiohead, Weezer), is accompanied by an animated video created by Alberto Cerriteno of Curiosity Group (Dreamworks, Paramount, Apple).
Editor-in-Chief Jessica caught the three back in May when they played at The Fire in Northern Liberties. She was delighted by the group, comprised of Jen Johnson (voice, guitar, & keyboard), Mike Latulippe (drums) and Ben Voskeritchian (bass & guitar). She’d for sure be at that show if she weren’t already set to be at Austin City Limits.
