“We are thrilled to collaborate with Beyoncé, Solange and the entire Knowles Family to air this momentous concert on Fuse, benefiting the families devastated by Hurricane Ike. Bringing these two accomplished sisters together on one stage for the first time not only provides our viewers with a great concert, it also gives back to a community in need during challenging times.†-Matt Farber, EVP, Programming, Development & Digital
“It is an honor for our family to be able to give back to our hometown with a holiday concert that will air on Fuse. Tina grew up in Galveston and still has family and friends there and we’re fortunate to bring Beyoncé and Solange together to support the efforts of The Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund through the Survivor Foundation.†-Mathew Knowles, father and manager
The Survivor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization designed to assist persons displaced whose lives have been affected by disasters, natural or otherwise. The Survivor Foundation, a family charity supported by Beyoncé, Mathew and Tina Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Solange Knowles, also helps people in need, providing assistance to children and to those suffering from AIDS and homelessness. Over the past few years, the Survivor Foundation has donated over two and a half million dollars just in the Houston area alone. Initiatives with the Knowles-Rowland Center, Knowles Rowland Temenos Place Apartments, Houston Habitat for Humanity, the Beyoncé Experience World Tour Food Drives, Annual Music World Cares “Holiday Carnival,” and Hurricane Katrina Relief are just a few of the community efforts of the Survivor Foundation with Beyoncé being the major contributor.
