well it’s no secret good taste isn’t handed out the way blogs are haha

That johnny cash cover is amazing. Was listed in wikipedia as an example of cover versions done right so I dug it up. “to devastating effect” was their description, which pretty much sums it up.

Reni! Haha, yeah, I knew Cash fans would be upset. He’s great, but I just think it sucks the original NIN version didn’t get as much praise as the cover. Haha, dont’ worry, you didn’t come off too strong… I’m glad you stood by your opinion

Neil, the Pixies version is good, but Iike their original stuff better. The JAMC version will always take the cake for me. Oh, and Jessica wrote the Glen Campbell piece. She linked this piece to that because it was funny

I agree that Cash’s cover of Hurt might be a tad overrated, but it’s still pretty good. Also, I don’t see what’s so bad about the Pixies cover of Head On. I’m assuming you liked the original first. To be fair, it’s rare to like a cover of a song you already like.

Also, I enjoyed your article on Meet Glen Campbell. My not-yet brother-in-law bought me that for Christmas. I haven’t listened to it yet, but I can’t say I’m looking forward to that particular experience.

Man, have to disagree on the Cash cover of Hurt…have you seen the video? It’s a heartbreaker…Are you aware of the story between Cash and Carter? The song may have a little more relevance if you ck it out…but to each his own…:)
