I get a lot of email. A lot. Some of the emails I get are full of great stuff. Others, not so much. Some just intrigue the hell out of me, as with this example from this morning:
“Golau Glau” are two of our favourite words that go well together. We
like Wales and cats, and whales but not Cats.
Um, what? That was my initial reaction. But this marketing genius of a band got the better of my curiosity and I immediately listened to the mp3 they’d attached, “Soft Silver Young”, which you can hear below.
Golau Glau – “Soft Silver Young”
“Soft Silver Young” starts out with some catchy ethnic percussion that get you tapping your toes. Airy, echoed female vocal come in atop the percussion, creating a beautifully light tune that you can’t help but listen to on repeat. According to The Devil Has The Best Tuna (source), “golau” means light and “glau” means quickly in Celtic. Little else is known about this Wales band. Seems they’re keen on the “less is more” sentiment.
We want more.
