So it’s true then, good things come to good girls and boys…Sainthood, the highly anticipated follow-up to Tegan and Sara’s critically acclaimed 2007 album The Con will be mastered in August and set for release on October 27th as announced on the band’s official website.
The new album brings Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie) back into the mix working overtime both in the control room and in the studio on bass. Jason McGerr returns on drums as well as So Jealous producer Howard Redekopp and Ted Gowans of Tegan and Sara’s touring band. Recording for Sainthood began in May at the legendary Sound City Studios in Van Nuys where Tom Petty, Nirvana, and Fleetwood Mac made magic many moons ago. The band finished laying down tracks at McGerr’s studio outside of Seattle. As if we needed any more of a reason to be excited about this record, Sainthood marks the first time the sisters have ever written music together.
