A Hotel Café and Popwreckoning favorite Greg Laswell, well known for his signature live cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” is taking his love of cover songs one step further and is set to release the Covers EP on October 6th through his label, Vanguard Records. The record features unique interpretations of cuts by Echo & The Bunnymen, Morphine, Mazzy Star, Kate Bush and Kristin Hersh.

In addition to playing most of the instruments on the album, Laswell produced the record himself in a cabin in Mountainaire, Arizona. After several emotionally driven full-length original albums, he is able to seamlessly portray the intended sorrowful images through his thoughtful interpretations.
