Michael Jackson was everything to me when I was a kid. I grew up a dancer. I would just watch and watch and sing and dance. I loved everything about him.

Michael Jackson changed my life. His dancing, music, energy, love, passion, and soul as a human being touched me in a way nothing ever else has in my lifetime. I am a changed woman because of him, I can honestly say that MICHAEL JACKSON brings me PURE JOY. He is my heart and soul, and I love him.

Michael Jackson’s music was amazing, but it was him as a person who truly made a difference in my life. In 2003, one week before my 15th birthday, my father took his own life. I felt different, I felt alone, and like a part of my own childhood was robbed from me. That winter Michael was wrongfully accused (once again) of child molestation.. I decided to research Michael a little more, and learn about his life through interviews. I learned that he and I weren’t so different from one another. I made it my own personal mission to spread awareness of Michael’s innocence. I had a hat made that read “I believe you Michael Jackson!” In the years since 2003, I had a strong love for Michael’s music, and his message! The day Michael passed, I had woke up not feeling right and called out of work, when I heard the news I broke into tears. Michael, I would just like to thank you for teaching me that being different is not a bad thing! Thank you for reminding me of the love that Jesus showed through all your kind actions, and lastly thank you for guiding me through my teen years and the hardest part of my life. You presence is truly missed on this earth. Everyday I wear a “Michael Jackson” bracelet in his memory. He will forever be missed.

MJ means everything..my love for the man came years ago..so far back that I cant remember.Michaels music is a bonus for me. The man himself is unlike anyone that has ever lived. I love his smile, his walk, his voice, his dance, his facial expressions, his purity, and all things Michael Jackson. Michaels love for us as a human race surpasseses anything that Ive ever heard of. He donated all of his Victory Tour earnings. Michael is so selfless. Wonderful father.Teacher, and the best thing is that …I lived in the time of Michael Jackson..God thank you. Michael Im missin you dearly. Just cant believe all this. God bless you.

Michael Jackson was phenomenal! My first 45 record was Rockin’ Robin by “The Jackson 5″. That was when I fell in love the him. He was adorable. I have a scrapbook of all the crazy articles that were published about him. I absolutely adore him! He is pure entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed “This Is It” that concert would have been mind blowing to see in person. He was such a talent, I wish he was still with us!! Love You MJ!!!

While the entire Jackson legacy is undeniably an influential part of Pop Culture, Michael’s personal message was even more powerful. I am a white person that enjoys black culture, and Michael made that socially more acceptable as the song “Black or White” described his unbiased opinions about people. “Earth Song” displayed an intimate love he had for the environment in which we all live, and he attempted to emanate that harmonistic trend in the world. Despite what the media portrays about Michael, there is a solid indication that he was not only a loving person, but a compassionate person as well. He was able to embrace the essence of human life and behavior in ways that seem illogical in comparison to how others treated him. As for me, this is a great example of the type of mindfulness we should all have for ourselves, our family, our friends, all people, and the world we live in. I may not have met Michael in person, but I am certain that his legacy will continue on in – not only the hearts of his fans – but their lives as well. His children intend to perpetuate his message of love, peace, and harmony. Many tears were shed on the days following his death, but I still always weep when I think about the great resource of inspiration that has eloped from this Earth when God took him from us. However, I am content in knowing that he is now in a better place, where people will no longer judge him and cast him out from society as merely a “Smooth Criminal.” To Michael, if I were ever given the chance, I would have extended the same love of God that you perpetuated towards others. Thank you for loving the unlovables and for caring about the well-being of others. Your legacy lives on!

I wrote this letter to MJ the day he died.

    6-25-09

Michael, last night I thought of you.

PYT started playing in my head; it was my first favorite song of yours. I had the brief idea to listen on itunes, but sleep got the better of me. Today I so wish I had.

I believe that thought was a gift from God; the energy of your spirit coming to touch me one last time before you passed on & left this earth behind, letting me know as you both always have that things will be alright, with a little bit of magic, humor & strength.

I first saw you when I was 5 years old, the same age you started performing. The news was playing a clip of “They Don’t Really Care About Us”, the part where you run up the slum stairs. They were of course commenting on your “controversial” lyrics (what a master of business you were ;) ), but the only thing that really stayed with me was that image of you running up those stairs. You were so mysterious to me & that image has stayed strong with me until this very day.

Your path crossed mine again when I was 9 years old; the same age you recorded your first album. One afternoon in AMPM, we watched your film “Moonwalker”. I was mesmerized from the moment I saw your glittering socks enter the stage, yet another image that has stayed with me for all time. You see, that was the magic about you. You didn’t even have to say a word or sing a note to capture anyone’s attention, especially children. You just – were. The way you walked, talked & smiled was mystical, like a modern day unicorn among us.

It wasn’t however until I was age 12 that you really grabbed me, with the production of the documentary that changed the rest of your life, “Living With Michael Jackson”. I had listened to your “big 3” quite often of course before then, but I had never seen such an in depth view of you. It really touched me. I could see you for the kind, funny, child-like, talented soul that I thought never existed. When others thought you were messed-up or “finished”, I felt like I was just starting to get to know you.

I felt a connection with you. Growing up, I all too often felt the effects of “being different” from my peers, experiencing rejection & being ignored, as you often had in your years. I wanted to be different from the others again, & experience what you had to offer. You seemed so special & talented that I was perplexed as to how you could actually be that bad. You certainly seemed a lot better than the entertainment “idols” my peers were worshipping at the time.

I listened to more & more of your music, read all about you, watched footage & saw pictures & everything else was HIStory (pardon the pun). I felt like I knew you personally, like if we met, we would be able to talk for hours because we had so much in common, even though I’d never met you. You were the most multi-faceted person I’ve ever known. Music, dance, business, your art, poetry, drawings, movies, you really were a Jackson of all trades (I know you would love my puns ☺ ). In these creative forms you poured out your tender, sensitive nature, romanticism, creativity, love of all things beautiful, child-like, magical, spiritual, deep & wise, & most of all your kindness & dedication to humanity, never losing faith in mankind.

This was something I could relate to.

By the time I was in high school I had bought your DVDs, had your cd’s & downloaded practically every article of music you produced that was on record. The people at school knew me as “the MJ fan”, & I loved it. It was also at this time that the allegations of child abuse started as well, which I believe was due in part to that fateful documentary.

I spent the entire summer of 2005 reading books written about you & by you online, researching records, evidence & other articles to completely arm myself with knowledge to defend you against any critic I came across. What I found (or more, didn’t find) not only proved you innocent, but also gave me an even farther insight to the kind of person you are, from the people closest to you. If people only really got to know you, I know they would be delighted.

But it is again I fear, people can’t love what they don’t understand, & boy Michael I can tell you many people don’t have the spiritual capacity to be able to understand or want to learn who you truly are. That’s what I truly believe it is – a spiritual capacity. People were so insistent upon you acting like a “normal” person, but they were so normal themselves they never were able to understand that you weren’t meant to be normal, just like myself & so many of your fans have felt in our daily lives. You were far too unique for that. You weren’t a monster or a child molester; you were just a big kid whose innocence was twisted into something vile. No one has ever seen innocence without an ulterior motive before, so that’s not what they assumed of you. All this is why I feel I can relate with all your fans. We have a common bond of being “outsiders”, if you will, & we have all been able to unite through your music, & will continue to do so.

I want to end this by letting you know the impact you have had on my life.

With your music, you gave me inspiration to push on, keep loving, & always help others. With the wonderful song “Keep the Faith” & your perseverance, you taught me that I can do anything I want to do with “the will to want it”, the belief in myself, & trying my hardest. You taught me the importance of our emotional connection with others with “She’s Out of my Life” & “Will You Be There”. You taught me the importance of generosity with my personal favorite “Man in the Mirror”, “Cry”, & “Heal the World”. You let us in on the hard times & the importance of perseverance with “Stranger in Moscow” & “Scream”. & of course, I can’t forget the fun dance tunes that friends & I tried to emulate, like “Rock With You” & “Workin’ Day & Night”. Dad & I sang along to so many of your oldies in the car & I loved when you pushed the envelope with “Black or White” to get a rise out of people.

I have to say, people don’t know what they’re missing if all they know is “the big 3” you did in the 80’s. Some of your most rare & lesser-known songs were your best & most brilliant, an uncountable many that often brought me to tears & lifted me up when I was down.

Knowing you were out there & listening to you music has helped me get through times when I was sad or depressed, or felt alienated from other people or angry at situations or the world. I can never forget the true musicality & innovation of your music. I loved how you defined the era of New Jack Swing & rock/soul. I loved it when you used gospel choirs – that was the ultimate for me. I thank God you were vehicle for delivering masterpieces & excitement to this era.

Seeing you in concert was something I had always wanted to do before you retired or either of us passed. I was part of the history, excitement & record-breaking of when one million of your London tour tickets sold out within an hour. It amused me so much that we all crashed Ticketmaster ☺. I was so blessed to have been able to afford the tickets & get them before they sold out (by the way, I still have all the emails). Brian & I were so excited to go to London to see you in January.

Sadly, you were taken before that could happen. I would have loved nothing more than for you to die old, in retirement & surrounded by your grandkids. Part of me is upset because I feel it is we the fans that contributed to your untimely death, with the stress of you wanting to impress us in your comeback tour. There is also speculation that your death was unnatural, which only you & God will know for certain. Regardless of how or why your heart stopped, it is an unfair tragedy to your family, your children & your fans. It breaks my heart to know that your children will no longer get to see their father, but I know you raised them well with love & they will remember that until the day they die. I know they will grow up remembering your legacy to so many, as will your fans.

I have cried a lot today, but in the history of celebrity deaths, never have I seen such a wonderful response from the fans. They have been singing your songs, dancing in the streets & celebrating your life. Knowing you, this is what you would want. You wouldn’t want us to be sad, you would want us to remember your memory & better the world with the things you have taught us.

I am sure you are sitting up on a cloud right now, laughing & smiling seeing our togetherness. You were close to the Lord & I can only imagine you exploring heaven.

There is so much more I could say about you, but I could never put it into enough words.
May God finally rest your fragile, beautiful, wise, kind, caring soul in his strong arms.

Michael, I love you so so much & will miss your spirit for all the rest of my days, until we all meet above one day.

    Respectfully & admiringly,

Aria Drexler – forever a fan

P.S – Have fun talking to Michelangelo ☺

Michael Jackson is the MAN who prevented me from doing something stupid. He taught me what LOVE and LIFE is and MADE me want to help make the wolrd “a better place”.
He embodies music, dance, love and talent. He will never be equaled. He will remain in my heart forever.

Basically his music was the SOUNDTRACK of my childhood. Off the wall, thriller, bad, dangerous, invincible & blood on the dance floor…

  • Andrea

I remember when I first bought “Thriller” I was about 10 or 11, and I listened to it everyday, going through the whole album multiple times. It always made me want to dance, and always made me feel happy. I was blessed with the opportunity to be able to learn a dance to the song thriller, and loving that song so much, it was really one of the more memorable moments in my life. I have been listening to Remember the Time lately, and watching the video. It just amazes me that someone so famous could be so creative at the same time. He will be dearly missed by me, and I will always continue to listen to his music and tell the next generation of what an amazing person he was! RIP The King of Pop!

  • Dan S

Michael was always original, and the perfect example of someone that could have the longevity in the industry while others took their 15 minutes and walked away. He set the standards in music in a lot of ways.

MJ is quite simply…in two words ‘my life’

  • Amy

My love for Michael started when I was 5 and he read ET to me every night before I went to bed. The Christmas I was 7, I got my very first cassette tape… Thriller and a MJ doll and that was it – I was 7 and knew I would marry him. Barbie and Michael spent a lot of time dancing together. I took dance from when I was 2 until I was 15 and he was always in my head as I danced… wanting to be just as perfect in my moves as he was. Over the years, his music has been there for me through good times and bad. In 5th grade, playing jump rope in the playground with Bad playing as loud as the teachers would let us have it. And I was going through a lot of personal struggles when You Are Not Alone was released and it helped me get through a lot and calmed me some after loosing him. Since his passing, my children have realized just what an amazing person he is. My 6 year old practices her ‘Michael moves’ every day and strives to be able to dance just like he did. His cds haven’t left my stereo since June, there just isn’t anything else that I want to listen to right now… My children have come to understand how we need to try to make this world a better place from listening to his songs about the earth and its people and seeing all of the good that Michael has done for so many and they are striving to do what they can to do their part.

I will miss you Michael… forever.

  • Diana

Michael Jackson is my hero.I love him from the bottom of my heart . His music, his dance, his compassion, his love is everything. Whenever I am down I turn on his music and it comforts me. His message was love, and I carry it with me always and will continue to spread his message wherever I can. Michael was an angel on earh, he had the voice of an angel and there isnt a day that goes by that I don’t listen to his music. There isnt a day that goes by that I don’t miss him…my heart is broken and it feels as if it will never be repaired, but I know he lives on in our hearts and through his music forever. He was and always will be the KING.

  • Arlene

Even though I never met Michael, I feel like I grew up with him. One of my classmates in high school went on “The Dating Game” and against two other girls, Michael chose a date with her. I grew up with Michael and his siblings, watched their Sat. cartoon show, have some of their LP’s and attended the Victory tour.
Once adult life set in, I got too busy with kids, work and life to attend anymore concerts. But I still bought his CD’s and was eager to see his videos. My biggest regret was not seeing a more recent concert of his.
It is a sad fact of life. You never know how much you cherish a person until they are taken from you. Especially too soon.

Michael Jackson’s Music has been apart of my whole life. No matter the issue, he had a song for that. I loved how he cared about the Earth and how we take care of her. I used his songs in my dance class (in the 80′s), I parties with his hits at the clubs in the 90′s.
My only regret is that I never got to see him in concert. Watching the Movie, This is It, Gave me a piece of what it would have been like to see his concert.

  • Karen

I remember when I was 7 years old, making up dance routines in the basement to Dancing Machine and other great J5 songs. I loved Michael’s voice, dancing, and smile so much. His music was amazing. He was hounded and maligned by so many people; I hope he is looking down and seeing how many people really loved him and will always believe he was a good man.

  • Marie

I love Michael Jackson with all my heart. Michael reminded me that there are people in the world who care about this planet as much as I do. I have always loved MJ’s music, each song for a different reason. While some make you want to dance, many of his greatest songs are phenominal because of the powerful message they convey. I cannot listen to “Heal the World” or “Man in the Mirror” without crying. His life is the blueprint of how we should all live- work hard, love even harder, help those who need it, and see people for who they are, not as a color. He continues to inspire me to live my life better and spread his message of L.O.V.E.
Michael Jackson was the greatest dancer, singer and entertainer to ever live, but that should not overshadow his heart which was even more perfect. More than his music, I LOVE Michael for the beautiful, gentle person he was. I continue to mourn his death and celebrate his life.

  • tamika

I remember being in the basement of my grandfathers house playing, pretending that I was on tour with Michael. I learned the dance moves and lyrics and held concerts in the basement. Michael Jackson was on a level that no one else will ever be able to reach. For him to be so committed to his fans and his music, and to also speak out and bring attention to the problems of the world, was a rare feat and he will be missed.

  • Stephannie

Well even though I’m only 19 and too young for anyone to think that I really remember much about Michael’s career, I honestly can’t recall not loving Michael Jackson. I’ve always been really close to my dad who’s a huge fan of Michael. When I was a little girl he would always talk to me about Michael and the Jackson 5 and how he used to rock his custom made Thriller jacket. Michael was probably the first artist I ever admired. I remember when I was five they would run every single one of Michael’s videos followed by the History tour all day long, and all day long I would watch. When he did the moonwalk I used to think there was something on the stage to help him do it, and me and my 3 year old sister would scatter baby powder on the floor and tried to moonwalk but it never worked. But what made me love him even more was HIS love for our planet and all of us. I’ll never forget the day my third grade teacher told us we were singing “Heal The World” in front of the whole school on earth day. From a young age I learn to admire Michael not only for his performance, but to look up to him and admire him as a person. I feel like he’s taught me so much about life and that we shouldn’t take anything for granted and love one another and I honestly, truly believe that Michael loved me and I’ve always felt loved through his songs. And when I’m sad and I feel unloved, Just one of his songs can turn my day around. I’ve loved Michael Jackson for so long that I feel like I’ve lost a member of my family. June 25th 2009 is at the top of my list of worst days of my life.

  • Nadezhda

I first heard about Michael Jackson when I was 5 or 6 years old. I saw him on TV but I wasn’t interested beacause I was very little.
“On June 25, 2009 we lost Miichael Jackson forever”.I heart this sentence in the news on the next day. I don’t know why but I felt very bad. Few days later I saw a magazine with information about Michael Jackson. I wasn’t indifferent any more. Since this day I started collecting magazins, newspapers, discs, DVDs and everything else connected with Michael Jackson.
His songs are not just with very very good music but also with textes connected with people’s problems. Nowadays the “Earth song” is the best song. People should think about what are they doing to our planet and how can they prevent the Earth of bigger problems. And “Heal the world” – maybe that’s the song that waked up a lot of people to help Haiti.
I’m proud to be a fan of Michel Jackson. I love his music, his poems, his drawings. I love him like a dancer, singer, choreographer, director. His music and his moves will live forever !!!

MICHAEL JACKSON, YOU WILL NEVER MOONWALK ALONE !!!
    R.I.P.

  • Nicole Chambers

One of Michael Jackson’s major goals was to spread love through his music. I think this was greatly expressed through this is it. MJ has definately taught me what love is. He has taught me that love is unconditional. Anytime I am having a bad day, I turn on his music and instantly smile. There isn’t a day that goes by that hearing Michael Jackson sing Smile doesn’t make me cry. He was a strong man with a heart of gold. He has instilled in me to be a strong, caring person even when times are tough. Although I never knew him personally, I feel as though he lives in my life through his music. He is like a great friend to all of us, if only through his incredible music now. I could go on and on about MJ all day. The point is…Michael Jackson has taught me to love myself more and to be a better person.

  • Stephannie

And when someday when I have my children, I’ll make sure they know about THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER THAT EVER LIVED.

  • gcg96

Michael has always had a message in his songs, weather its about love or about helping perserve this planet that we call earth. He's always cared for others, and put them first. He always wanted to the world to be in unity. And through his music i've been inspired to not only better myself but also try and do what i can to help this planet. His music has also gotten me through some tough times, and when i needed cheering up all i needed was to hear his voice. I think that anyone can relate to some of what his songs are about, and thats why he was so well known universally. He really had a genuine concern for the people and the world . I miss him so much! The world has experienced a great loss. Theres not a day that goes by that i dont think about him. I love him and miss him.

How Do I Explain My Love & The Impact Michael Has Made On Let’s Face It The Entire World. The Day He Died A Piece Of The Music Died, A Piece Of Humanity Died, A Piece Of Me Died With Him. I Can Honestly Say I Love The Entertainment Industry As Hard And Nasty As It May Be Because Of The Jackson Dynasty. I Have Followed & Supported That Family For Most Of My Life. I Own So Much Memorabilia From The Entire Family. The Memories I Hold Most Dear Are Being At The 1994 MTV Video Music Awards The Year He Shocked The World By Kissing Lisa Marie & The Following Year When I Saw Him A Foot In Front Of Me After His MTV Rehearsal When He Waved At Me. I Also Had Tickets To See Him Perform At The Beacon & Was Actually In The Billboard Awards When They Announced He Had Fallen Ill & Was At The Hospital. I Left During The Taping In The Middle Of Tina Turner’s Performance & Hopped A Cab To Beth Isreal Where I Was Interviewed By TV News Cameras. There Is A Great Loss In My Heart & I Will Never Forgot What Michael Has Done For Not Only Me Not Only My Generation ,But Everyone Who Takes Even A Moment To Recongize His Talent & His Love For The World & Every Living Thing In It. We Love You Michael . We Pray For Your Peace & We Pray For Your Family & All Those Who Will Continue To Keep Your Spirit Alive!!! Heal The World !!!

The Thriller album was the first album on vinyl i ever received. I was 3 yrs old when the Thriller premiered on MTV and i still remember being able to stay up past my bedtime to watch it. 1983 was the beginning of my love for music. Michael’s music and entertainment is one of the main reasons that i became an Audio Engineer. I still can’t believe he is gone. Just doesn’t seem real.

  • Kortney

Mihcael was more then what the rumors had said. His life wasn’t for just anything, his life was lived in the happiness he created through his music and the life he shared with his children. Much people may despise him for the allegations, but how can they hate someone so much for something that can’t be proven?. Michael changed the world, without Michael this world would’nt be where it’s at.
He donated to so many charities and foundations, helped countless numbers of animals and children from all over the world and showed them the joy of living. He never once said his life was for nothing, but that life is everything. He used his life as a gesture of kindness towards others, put on a smile even though he was hurting. His life has every meaning in the world, he saved what could have been lost, and loved all that could be loved. He devoted his entire life on the well-being of his fans and family, he only wanted to make the world a better place. He stopped at nothing to achieve the peace that may or may not come, but we’ll always know that even though he’s gone when we look up he’ll always be watching over our shoulder.
He’s gone but has not left, loved but not enough, wanted and always needed. Michael Jackson was one of the kindest people that ever lived, his voice was the addiction that never stopped coming, and his heart was always open to who-ever needed it. His compassion, strength, his life was the beginning of everything that meant good, but he will never soon be forgotten.
Although I wasn’t from the beginning his fan, I felt so lost after his passing, like the world stopped spinning and my heart stop beating. I lost a part of something that I never knew was reality, During the coming months his voice comforted my tears, his life made me rethink my mistakes. He’s the many reasons I still have my life, he saved me from taking away the most precious thing to live for. Without Michael it’s been hard, but now that I look back he’s my inspiration for what I’m doing, for what I will do in the future.
His essence is a repeating song that always sounds great the next time. His absense from this world killed a part of me, a part that he made me realize. I’v always loved him, not as a fan, but a person. Throughout the times that I’v lived I’ve been inspired by the kindness in hearts and joy in laughter, but not like the way he did. When-ever I would look back I’d always wish to be older, so that I could’ve seen him in concert, or an illness just to see him in person. He had a beauty that wasn’t truly recognized. If everyone wore masks, then we’d all be friends, but he was judged by some for his crude looks.
I never realized how much I missed him until he was gone. But everytime i hear his name my heart skips a beat, everytime someone ridicules him I’d hate them, everytime someone would ask me why I’d say that we’re all the same on the inside, but on the outside is what attracts most people. When I hear his songs I can’t help but sing-along, see him in a magazine I’d always buy it, on the tv I’d watch it until my eyes are sore. It’s Human Nature to hate but you are not alone, never alone.

    With Love,
    K

“You are not alone, for I am here with you. Though we’re far apart your always in my heart.” -Michael Jackson

One of my favorite memories as a kid was when the Thriller LP just came out. I begged my mom for it.

When I came home from school, I went to my room, and to my surprise, there was the Thriller album waiting for me on my bed. Mom went to Best Buy while I was at school and picked it up for me on the release day. I was soooooo happy. I put it on the record player and played it full blast for hours.

I still have it. It’s one of my prized possessions.

Even now, as a teacher, my students still love Michael Jackson. They even did the Thriller dance as an ending to their project about Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven”. They pass around magazine articles about him and listen to his music. In this day and age, I would rather they listen to MJ than most of the music out there.

You still “Rock with Me” and the sixth graders.

Thanks for the music and the memories.

Michael Jacson nshowed me 2 look at the world and see how its changing from year 2 year. i only knew Michael for about 8 years of my lifei waited watching vdeos on mtv 2 watch thrille n dance w/ my older sister. i said he was the biggest artist in 2 ways; his songs were undescribable his moves were a work of art better than the Mona Lisa or any painting that was ever made or will be made. He had an adults life whe he was a child so now tht he’s an adult he wants to experince what he culd of had as a normal child ,playing games w/ friends ,gong on rides ,climbing trees ad much more. i personally Know about 40 of his songs in incloding the lyrics and some dance moves. my whole family loves him and they all know i lovehim the most because when he died i cried and cried ad cried because i knew my kids and ther kids wll never know an artist like him because he was a 1 of a kind and me getting this dvd will show them how great he was and that he was a angel sent to earth to etertain us and change the world by everyting he did .i loved him he was the light of this dark world

How does one express how someone impacted their life and changed it for the better?

Michael has always given me strength and hope during the best and worst of times in my life, showed me that life is filled with countless wonders. He isnpired me to become who I am now, which is to write and create, like he did. To live my life to the very fullest, to never give up to “Keep The Faith”.

Since a young age, he was there for me, through the messages within his music. I felt invincible then, and now as an adult. I still look up to him, still long to grow to be just like him. A dream which will never cease. He was, and still is, my hero and greatest inspiration. His legacy will live on for generations, and will continue to inspire the world.

    It’s all for love – L.O.V.E.

I already own MJ items because he was my friend from childhood (j5) and I see him as a citizen of the world. He is an angel who did everything he could to save this planet, its children and his own will follow I am sure. While Americans gather around their T,V to watch the Superbowl , they may be teased by buying products in the ads, other volunteer and donate while Michael is watching over those doing for other in need Hurricane victims yesterday, earthquake today, and today reminds me of he innocence and kind humility so many modern day americans have selfishly let so of/I fear for our children. His message was somewhat lost in time while he was alive because the focus was on his legal problem created by users and thief’s and distorted by the media. I hear it in his perfection, his lyrics, always his music amplified by his love of dance and rhythm in tune with the breath of nature, So human and genius. Godspeed and as he says it is all for love.LOVE watching him dance still amazes me.

I was 7 years old in 1993 when I first saw the movie Free Willy and heard the enchanting song ‘Will You Be There’ By Michael Jackson. Being a kid who had an interest in whales, the story of Willy the killer whale entrigued me. However, it was the song that really made an impact on my life. Ihad never drawn or even attempted to draw a killer whale. One day, I was riding in the car with my mother when his song came on the radio. I sat straight up and yelled “I need paper!!!” She quickly found a napkin and I dug a pen out of her purse and I started drawing a killer whale as ‘Will You Be There’ played loudly on the radio. The entire year it was on the radio and I heard it played, I had to stop what ever I was doing and draw a killer whale. I was compelled by the song, inspired by Michael to create some thing at the mere sound of his song. It was then that I had a dream, a goal for my life. I knew, thanks to this song, that I wanted to work with and save killer whales like Keiko, the whale who played Willy in the movie. As I got older I found out that to work at a place like Sea World you had to be a marine biologist so I emailed some one at a college before I was even in high school and asked what I had to do to become a marine biologist. However, due to financial complications I have not been able to fulfil the dream I still hold on to 16 years later, because of Michael Jackson. He has meant so much to me through out my life, he’s shown me what it means to be humble, to truly care about this planet and every thing living in it, and most importantly how to love. His death has left me feeling more empty and alone than words can describe. That’s what Michael means to me.
