The Montreal seven piece has announced their third album, The Suburbs, due out August 3 in the States. The album has been in the works for nearly two years and drops just before the group headlines Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival.
Preceding the album will be a double A-side single containing “The Suburbs” and “Month of May.” It is available for pre-order here with an immediate digital download. A limited amount of discs are being sent to record shops. The 12″ will be released May 27.
Formed in Montreal, the Arcade Fire is Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, William Butler, Tim Kingsbury, Sarah Neufeld and Jeremy Gara.
