The Decemberists returned to Kansas City’s Uptown Monday night. The set was filled with wild antics, classic Decemberists songs and even a surprise cover. Colin Meloy had the audience in the palm of his hand – he actually got everyone to sit on the floor and jump in unison, turned the crowd mildly competitive and made a family in the balcony feel the pressures of the spotlight.
