Taking Back Sunday Headlining Tour Starts June 14; New Album Out July 28

Taking Back Sunday is set to kick off their headlining tour on June 14, in Denver, CO. The summer-long run, which also features Thursday and Colour Revolt, will support the release of their new album Taking Back Sunday, due out June 28.

The self-titled release is a return to the band’s original line-up from their 2002 debut Tell All Your Friends:  vocalist Adam Lazzara, guitarist Eddie Reyes and drummer Mark O’Connell have reunited with vocalist/guitarist John Nolan and bass player Shaun Cooper, who departed in 2003.  Tell All Your Friends has sold over one million records worldwide, and launched the band as one of the most influential of its generation. Taking Back Sunday is featured on the cover of the July issue of Alternative Press magazine, with a 13-page spread inside. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, All American Rejects), Taking Back Sunday is the New York band’s fifth studio album, three of which have been certified gold.

Win tickets for Funeral Party, Panic! at the Disco, and fun. at the Beaumont Club (CONTEST CLOSED)

Indie-pop quartet Funeral Party will be opening for Panic! At the Disco along with fun. at the Beaumont Club in Kansas City this Sunday,  June 12th. Their debut album, The Golden Age of Knowhere (released March 29th), was produced by Lars Stalfors (Matt & Kim, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, LCD Soundsystem, Oasis). They’ve already performed on David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel, and have supported the likes of The Faint, Cut Copy, The Mars Volta, and Crystal Castles.

Amongst the insane amount of momentum they are gaining globally, Funeral Party is an Alternative Press Band to Watch for 2011 and they performed several sets at SXSW last March in Austin. With all of this press, they are definitely a band to see sooner, rather than later!

SXSW Preview: Alternative Press Showcase

What’s better than being in Austin for SxSW? How about a FREE six hour show at Emo’s for SxSW day, featuring nineteen of the best bands of the festival (and the spring AP Tour lineup)?!  From screamo that will practically melt your face off to some seriously sweet alt rock, it’s perfect for fans of AP’s general style- something a little more than your average indie hipster scene.

I’ve seen Versaemerge and Conditions before in Seattle, and both bands absolutely floored me. They are absolutely amazing and worth an appearance at the showcase alone, but they are just the beginning. Both Black Veil Brides and Vampires Everywhere are groundbreaking and stunning in both their complexity and their stage presences. They both know how to put on a rockin show. I have heard nothing but praise for Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, so I am assuming they will be the icing on the cake.

So where are YOU going to be Saturday, March 19th? Hopefully you will be at Emo’s with me, enjoying some of the best up and coming alt rock out on the market today.

Lineup:
Black Veil Brides
Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows
I See Stars
Versaemerge
Conditions
Enter Shikari
The Ready Set
The Downtown Fiction
Animals
As Leaders
Balance and Composure
Middle Class Rut
Oceano
I Fight Dragons
Vampires Everywhere!
The Limousines
River City Extension
Touche Amore
Maniac

ALL AGES, no RSVP required (so what are you waiting for already?!)
