Since their 1994 full-length debut, blink-182 has sold over 11 million albums and filled arenas and stadiums both in the U.S. and worldwide. All six of their albums have been certified either gold or double platinum, with 1999’s Enema of the State selling more than 4 million copies. In 2005, blink-182 announced they were going on an indefinite hiatus. They came back together four years later and began work on their new album.
blink-182 are back with the lead single from their new album, “Up All Night.” The trio’s first new song in eight years made its radio debut July 14th on Los Angeles’ KROQ-FM. “Up All Night” is available for streaming on the band’s website www.blink182.com.

As fans of The Boxer Rebellion, DarkFibre jumped at the chance to collaborate with the band and turn “The Runner” into a visually engaging mini-masterpiece. “We took the cornerstone idea of honesty and its fragility from the lyrics and created a narrative that would be both completely surprising and utterly compelling,” says co-director Ishbel Whittaker. “We wanted to make something that was playful and naughty but also profound, raw and honest.”
The Poison Control Center is releasing their new single “Dracula’s Casket” ahead of their album, Stranger Ballet, out Tuesday, June 7, via Afternoon Records. They have also released a string of upcoming tour dates which can be viewed in full here.

Yellowcard has made a blazing return to music with the release of “For You, And Your Denial” off the upcoming When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes. If this is a taste of what to come, fans will not disappointed.
With an opening violin riff that trumps some of Sean Mackin‘s fast finger work on Ocean Avenue, the intro alone could rival the best of Mozart. But those wary of classical music can relax. Shortly after Mackin kicks off the song, guitars and drums come blazing in and Ryan Key‘s signature vocals take the song to a whole new level for Yellowcard.
In this one tune, the catchiness and the instrumentals that made Ocean Avenue so great are mixed with the maturity and emotional depth that made Paper Walls and Lights and Sounds what they were.
You can check out “For You, And Your Denial” below.
When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes will be released March 22. “For You, And Your Denial” is available now on iTunes and Amazon. You can also catch the band on tour this Spring with Hey Monday, All Time Low and The Summer Set. Tour dates are here.
*Oh, and if any of you want to hook me up with a tab to that killer violin riff, my roommate will be eternally grateful because otherwise he’s going to have to deal with me spending all my free time roaming the apartment with my violin trying to figure those notes out myself.
Right in the middle of a worldwide tour, We Are Scientistsreleased the third single off their latest album Barbarathis week, “I Don’t Bite.” Currently it’s available on iTunes on the UK and on 7Digital.com
Seeing that the guys have been touring mainly with Rewards (ex-Chairlift Aaron Pfenning), they seemed to find the time to have Pfenning record a b-side for the single – a low-key, ethereal version of “Nice Guys.” As well as the cameo from pal Pfenning, Dev Hynes, a.k.a. Lightspeed Champion also did a oddly spectacular digitized cover version of “Rules Don’t Stop” as another b-side. The three tracks are certainly different from each other, but the single did employ some of Brooklyn’s finest, I must say.
And if that wasn’t enough, Alexa Chung actually drew the album art.
All of it is a bit inexplicable, but does anything We Are Scientists ever does make complete sense? Not really, but that’s part of their charm.
There’s no official USrelease date yet on an iTunes single (let alone a physical single), but once it’s announced, we’ll be sure to update this post.

Chicago native’s The White Tie Affair (TWTA) released a sneak peek of their new album with “You Look Better When I’m Drunk,” the newest single from the pop rock quartet.
Currently without a permanent drummer (previous drummer Tim McLaughlin left the band at the end of the last tour), the single is addictive in all of the right ways. Combining an almost lethal mix of dance music and pop has created the incredibly unique sound that is TWTA and has launched them through numerous tours, including Warped Tour 2009, and made them a crowd favorite.
Always a blast to see live, the band has also announced a summer full of Midwest and East Coast dates, promoting the new album, for which a release date has not been set.
Check out the new single here and see them on tour this summer!
The psychedelic rockers behind “Kids,” “Time to Pretend” and “Electric Feel” have been working on their sophomore release and today, you can finally hear the first single off the forthcoming album Congratulations (I use single lightly since the band said they didn’t want “singles” off this record).
This could be because I have a ridiculous amount of love for We Are Scientists (WAS), but I was overwhelmed with excitement when they premiered the first single “Rules Don’t Stop” from their upcoming album Barbaraon the Zane Lowe show on BBC Radio 1 Wednesday night. Well, at least it was at night for Zane Lowe. It was 11:30 am where I was.
The first new song since their 2008 disc Brain Thrust Mastery, “Rules Don’t Stop” is great. I wish it was longer than 2:16, but it brings back what I loved about We Are Scientists in the first place. While Brain Thrust Mastery was good, With Love And Squalor was better, and “Rules Don’t Stop” sounds more like early WAS songs. It highlights the great harmonies between front man Keith Murray and bassist Chris Cain, while adapting the higher production values of Brain Thrust Mastery.
This new release also differs on who’s on drums. WAS has shuffled through a few drummers the last couple of years after Michael Tapper left the band, but former Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows, has officially joined the ranks for this album. I’m still not sure if he’ll be joining Murray and Cain on tour, because Burrows is recording his own solo album at the present.
A video for “Rules Don’t Stop” is set to be premiered in the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled. I certainly will.
